How up-to-date are the medications lists?

There are two tabs on the “Formulary Search” Form.

Local Formulary is loaded directly from the VistA system and is always up-to-date and consistent with medications in CPRS.

Note: You may not see certain meds/supplies if they are intentionally “hidden” from the users in CPRS.

National Formulary is updated quarterly shortly after it is updated on the PBM website. This list is used for searching medications by VA drug class.
